Sfogliare il prato è un progetto fondato sull'idea di poter consultare un prato come fosse un libro. La stessa parola "sfogliare" ha in se il concetto vegetale di foglia in uno stretto legame tra questi due elementi: la foglia appunto ed il foglio. In questo caso (up!) si riferisce ai pop-up o libri animati i quali con una tecnica di piegatura della carta quando vengono aperti producono un'immagine 3D, ora qui la realizzazione è differente, poiché il sollevamento non è generato dall'apertura di due pagine, ma l'effetto è analogo. Sono stati ritagliati dalla fotografia di un prato i fili d'erba e successivamente sollevati in modo tale da ridiventare prato. Ritagliare e scontornare sono atti conoscitivi, permettono loro stessi di consultare un manto erboso riprodotto a grandezza reale, di scoprire tutti i piccoli elementi che ci sono al suo interno. Inoltre le fotografie sono speculari, producono un palindromo, possono essere esplorate in entrambe le direzioni, in questo modo è come se mi fossi trovata a dover scollare due fogli rimasti attaccati tra loro che in questa maniera producono uno strappo regolare ma doppio.

“To leaf through the lawn” is a project based on the idea of having the possibility of leafing through a lawn as it was a book. The verb “ to leaf through” itself has got inside the idea of “leaf” that suggests us the existence of a tight bond between these two elements: the leaf and the paper. In this case (up!) refers to the pop-ups, lively books that, with a paper fold technique, produce a 3D image when they are opened. In my work the performance is different because the uplift is not generated by the opening of two pages, but the effect is pretty similar. The blades of the picture of a lawn have been cut and lifted as to become a real lawn once again. Cutting and removing the outlines are cognitive acts, they permit to explore a mantle of grass reproduced in natural size and to find out all the small elements which are inside. Furthermore the two photographs that I used are specular and that means that they produce a palindrome and can be explored from both directions. So, it is like I found myself in need of unsticking two papers that have been stuck to each other and, so doing, I produced a regular and double tear.
